Hi everyone

Contemplating a trip to any of the above stations in the July school holidays. Will be towing my Coromal PS451 behind my Prado

Just looking at some feedback as the best place to stay.

We are pretty self sufficient and could get away without power, but could possibly borrow a gen set if needed.

My kids are 12 & 14, beginner surfers (body board and long board). Just not sure if the waves are going to be too big up there.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Regards

Ash

Beginners at Red Bluff or Gnaraloo, will be chewed and spat out and then smashed on the rocks on the way in (esp at Red Bluff) althought they are beautiful spots .
No power or water at R|B
Don't think genie would go down to well

Cheers Ken

We went there a year or so ago and to get in there was about 10 k of the worst corrugations we saw anywhere.
Even going in to Quobba was reasonably bad.

May be Ok now but wouldnt take a decent van into Red Bluff and there was nothing decent in there when we were there either

The BIG sign at the T intersection leading to Quobba is there for a reason.
Beware Killer Waves. AFAIR

RedBluff was our fav spot, the sharks can get friendly out there too.!! The Camping was superb, fishing was great off the point, GT's longtoms, big Tailor & gennies are frowned on.

cheers Unc

Was at Quobba last year. Roads might be worse due to heavy rain Christmas/New Year but if you go carefully, you should be OK. Many black top vans were there. Ask at visitors' centre in Carnarvon for road conditions or ring the station. Blow Holes, south end, lovely spots to be found.
