having just bought a new waeco cf60 fridge decided todo a battery
test of sorts at the weekend. my problem , if it is only lasted 2hours before turning it self off [cold fridge 3deg on house power but empty] using the highest battery protection setting. should i have done it with something in it or could it be the way the power supply is installed . replaced the old battery today with new one and i also looked into the wiring setup and the earth wire is mounted to bare metal contact inside rear cargo area , should it go to the earth on battery . hasnt bothered me before as had a3way fridge and usually put on the gennie or gas but with a 3 week trip comimg up fast would like some ideas . i'm not that electrically minded but will have a go cheers in advance wayne

The other thing I found with my Waeco (once you have the power set properly) is when using it, have some cold things in it.
An empty space will warm up quicker, than say a bottle of cold beer. Hence making the fridge kick in more often to cool down, hence, using power.
Before I use
mine, I will cool it down with 240v a night or two before, throw in stuff that is already cold, and will often have meals pre prepared and frozen to go in as
well. Often find the meals still frozen a week later.
