On our trip north this year we intend to go to Birdsville via Haddon’s Corner along the Arrabury Road. We’ve travelled as far as the turn-off at Arrabury previously and camped in that area. We've decided to by-pass Innamincka given the flooding and the likelihood that Coongie Lakes will not be accesible this year.

Whilst there is little there other than a marker, we intend to camp there or en-route overnight. Interested to hear from anyone who has been that way recently, would like to gain any insight you may have.

Landy,

It is very open around the corner, not the ideal campsite.

I have camped south of the turn off near an old windmill.

Baz,

That would be the place, on the left about 100mt form the road.

Next year I am hoping to put a trip together that will go to all the border intersections.

Hi, It can get quite windy however shelter can be found just back over the sandhill.
The picnic table is about 50m from the shot Wayne shows.

We camped just before the sand hill back in 2003, no picnic shelter there then, but spot was not windy as it was in the corner that day. Left the van & tug there and rode the m/bike in the 2or3km's to the corner.

Well from memory about a km south of the corner is a bit of a hill. There might be some shelter I mean some. Arrabury road good. was on it two weeks ago and will be back there in a couple of days.

Thanks for that. I've travelled it as far as Arrabury a couple of times, but not through to Haddon's Corner...looking forward to getting out and about!
