Hi to anyone up at Tomato Island NT, just wondering what the road conditions are and if the fishing is good. Thinking of heading up in the next couple of weeks as we visited last year for a few days and really enjoyed our stay.

would that be the really isolated, remote, inaccessable spot where you just happen to get internet access, tv signal,
shop and fuel just over the river and it is just off the road ....
And to cap it off it is called an island ????
hahahha tis a nice spot but eh .

I was down the road a few weeks ago and it is fine as far as Tomato Island. Can;t say I would stay there, 500 people and no
toilets or running water,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, YUM! Each to his own I guess! If you don't know the river, WATCH out for the ROCKS!

Thanks for that, we might have to re-evaluate our destination. We were there last year for about 5 days, at the end of the season, and the locals were so friendly and everyone was very generous. 500 people are a few too many I think! Perhaps the trick is to get there early before the hoards.
