I am looking around for front recovery hooks to suit an '06 Nissan Patrol. They are like hens teeth!
Does anyone know of an online accessories site that has these type of hooks? the OEM that comes with the it is the open ended type. I would prefer to have them closed in.

thanks in advance,

John

rare? Any 4wd shop supplies these (hooks and loops).

Yep

ARB, TJM and others sell a big red plate that bolts on where the bullbar mounts to the chassy. Has a closed look for a shackle - about $60 if I remember

thanks for all your input guys. I have seen the plate type on line, but i wont be able to fit it. the driver's side has the OEM open hook mounted on the underside of the chassis rail, and above that there are the three holes to take the plate type. now on the off drivers side, the three holes exist, but without threads in them so i wont be able to mount a plate on that side. my option is to find a closed type hook that has the holes spaced out the same as what is on the underside of the chassis rail. both rails on my car have the threads cut out to take the hook type, but i have tried a couple of hooks and had to take them back because the hole spacings are narrower than what is on the chassis rail.

walk into the shops of TJM, ARB or Opposite Lock. They're web pages don't have them on (ARB do show the hook type) but they do sell them off the shelf though.

Cheers,

I have a GU 1V and have found that the Outback Ideas option does not fit, they will fit earlier models but not mine so I am still looking also. Cheers Mick

hey mick,

have you managed to find anything to fit your rig to use a recovery point? i have been in touch with a few people, and they agree with me that the plate will not fit on my model as the three holes on the passenger side are not threaded. only on the driver's side.
