Thanks Doug
Are you (or anyone else) using their systems?
Being a technodud, I am happy getting around the country with paper maps, but once I get in a town any larger than say
Camooweal - I get bushed every time.
Got myself a simple Garmin E-Trex to help finding known way-points, but been a bit wary about full on 'Navigators' - probably when I reaslised they needed to be updated from time to time (initial cost plus update costs) and a bit apprehensive about some of the
feedback on this site about punters heading down goat tracks following directions from such units. (Suspect common sense went out the window with some of them, but feel sure there are traps for
young players with them as
well).
I do use the 'Natmap' CD purchased through EO, plus a bit of EO '
Places' and cross checking against the Google Earth when planning trips, but didn't know about 'Where Is'. Any
feedback on how useful it is?
Thanks & regards, Phil
