Hi folks,

Stumbled across these Jayco How To videos this afternoon and given the number of Jayco-related posts on exploroz, thought others may be interested in them.

Well there you go!! You learn something every day. We bought an 04 Freedom second hand a few years ago & it has a hot water system same as one in the Video. I did not know that you could run it on 240V until I just watched the video. Just went and had a look & there is certainly an external on/off switch

We have the operating manual on the system & it does not mention 240V, so we always thought it was a dedicated LPG unit.

Thanks a million Sass.

I've used this forum for so much of our trip planning, that I am glad I can give back and my post has helped at least one person!

From seeing these video's, I've also come to the realisation that I won't be running the microwave while free-camping on solar/battery. Ah well, can't have everything right?

Well there you go as well from me.
I bought a new Jayco in 2007 and thanks to Sass I now have the ability to run hot water on 240v.
Can't believe the dealer never told me, maybe we know something he doesn't.
Looking forward to seeing if it still works on 240

Thanks Sass, you're a gem

Cheers Ray

I just watched the one on the toilets to make sure I'm not missing something. I usually start the emptying flow,THEN press the button. Stops blowback if the cassette is pretty full.

Thanks Sass

We bought our Outback second hand with good instructions from the then owners. The video will certainly lead to greater efficiency in the set up.

Cheers
