Last time in 2009 I tried to find the entrance of the track from north but I couldn't find but I saw, that they were digging a new Track to south. This time I want follow this track from Lancelin to Cervantes/Pinnacles. Is it easy to follow the track and how long it last for that approx. 75 kilometre?

Hi Werner,

The track from the north starts about 23 kilometres from the Junction of Brand Highway and Midlands Road.

From the south, Pinnacles turnoff is approximately 63 kilometres from the Lancelin turnoff which I traveled this year in about 37 minutes.

Cheers

There is a new sealed rd between Lancelin and Cervantes. This is probably the new track you are referring too. Its called Indian Ocean Drive. They have been building it for the last couple of years. If you are heading north from Perth you just stay on Wanneroo Rd and it turns into Indian Ocean dr and goes right upto and past Cervantes.
If you wanted to go via bush tracks then go into Lancelin, then find entrance to dunes. Follow main track from north of dunes all the way to Wedge and beyond.

Access via the dunes is now a military no go area. You have to stick to the beach from Lancelin to Wedge Island.

thanks. i thought like that and it is a pitty that you cannot go via bushtrack anymore - in europe we have only sealed roads so I really wanted to take the bush track. Is it definitly that we cannot go the track in the back of the dunes?

oh, didnt realize the track had been closed off. thanks for that Duncan. I have only been along the beach way in my last few trips. The beach can be tricky in a few spots. Not recommended to do if travelling alone.
