Any help with how I go about adding pictures to my gallery pictures would be appreciated. It was all so easy once but now I can't find the button.

Hi Rob. It is after the my profile button but how you allocate the pictures into your chosen category has me beat. I uploaded some the other night but they only seem to be in my profile. Bob

Yes Bob, this button only adds pictures to what was called something like rig pictures not to Gallery Pictures.
Thanks anyway,
Rob

Thanks David now I don't have to keep looking for something that is not there yet.
How about adding my own .gpx track files to my map. I tell the system to upload the file but it stops half way through the task. Are you still working on this one?

That should be working fine - how big is the file. I upload these all the time. If it is stopping mid way I suspect the file is too large. Just let me know how big it is so I can do some testing.
David.

Hi David,
I tried uploading our major WA trip from '09
GPX file size 16.9 MB (As a GPX file it is only 2.93MB !!!
This is the one that stopped midway.

Maybe a bit too large as you suggest so I tried our '10 Gunbarrel track
GPX file size 1.66 MB
The file loaded but then a message came up 'An error has occurred - Try again

Same message came up with our '07 SA tri
GPX file size 7.76MB

Ok first thing to do is filter the plot file down a bit using the OziExplorer filters - this will not only reduce the file down but will also do a good job in keeping the plot on the road (ie: accurate with much reduced size).

So firstly load the plot file in Ozi and select Track Control (see image for track control option to select and press Track FIlter and you will see the filter control as per the image.Image Could Not Be Found

I would recommend you use Index 5 and see how this goes. What this will do is make a now plot/track file in Track 2 - save this to the disk and see how the size compares. Then try uploading the reduce file to the system. I have tested upto 2MB - the system should handle upto 4MB however un filtered data is really only required for trying to upload highly accurate plot files, the Ozi filter is really good and will provide a very accurate result anyway with a much smaller file size.

Of course when you save the filtered file do not overwrite your orginal file just append _filtered or something to the filename.

Let me know how you get on.

Rob,
I suspect I may be the failure and will have to investigate the program - how did the file resize/filter go did it make the file smaller? Would yo mind emailing me the smaller/filtered file that failed so I can test this?
In the last week or two I have had to finsalise the transfer of the mapping system to the new server and there may be a problem. However having said this I loaded 10 files the other day but they were all really small so I would like to test with your file if possible.
