fridge /draw system for 2010 200 series

Looking for a self install kit or template to make a system to take a 40lt engel (slide out) plus 2 draws with good locks and handles and runners. Possibly a shelf over the top of the whole unit and completely removable as a option.
Thanks for any ideas

Give Jim Best a ring @ Jim Best Offroad. He advertises on this site and will make any configuration you want at a great price.

Thanks for the recommendation Peter. Our units are professionally built at a price that hardly makes it worth considering DIY.

Our number is 03 9706 6527.

Cheers,

Jim Best.

I agree Peter. We bought some off the shelf drawers from ORS and have a custom made kitchen and water tank installed in our 80 series. Top quality materials and workmanship.

We have tested the gear on Cape York (with a dunking in Nolans Brook) and outback NSW and western Qld for the past 12 months without a problem. It's good gear.

Not sure where you are located but you could also look at FourbyFitouts in Melbourne. I dropped into their factory in Hallam last weekend to have a look at the quality of his work. I was most impressed and will be looking at getting him to make one for the back of my Jeep GC later this year.

At the "top end" of the market, their stuff is great.

I recon with what is on offer it is not worth making your own

Advice as above are good advice. I also see Outback drawers now come in modules so you can have side-by-side or stacked drawers/slide configurations

I totally disagree. With a 2 draw plus fridge slide & shelf storage system costing between $1650 to $3000, anyone with decent building skills could save heaps. I find the majority of systems are too heavy, are permanently fixed, have odd demensions that wont take your gear & have alot of wasted space due to wide bearing runners, thick materials & impractical storage pockets. (Some would waste as much as 1/3 of the packing volume)
Cheers Craig..........

Making your own drawers is not that hard and you end up with exactly what you want. While commercial systems can be very good, they are inevitably generic and rarely meet your needs 100%. My Drawer Blog
