Hi all, I am about to purchase a new start battery for the diesel Pajero. Have been quoted $165 for a Delcor 710CCA. Does anyone have one of these fitted or know much about them? I would be interested in comments from others as to what brand of start battery do you have and comments either way as to what battery to fit . Thanks Monty

I have a 880cca CAT battery that I picked up from a Caterpillar dealer for $120 including gst. I have no idea why anyone would use anything else, I have been using them in all my trucks and machinery without any problems for years now. Cheers Mick

Delcor are ok,Ive had one in the Landcruiser for about 2 years. You will probably good 3 years or more out of it if your charging system is good.
You could go and pay much more and get only a little bit longer or sell the vehicle early and not get the use out of it.
Delcor is a part of the Delphi corporation, which is a huge parts supplier to car companies all over the world and was owned by GM

I've used Delcor in several vehicles with no problems. I'm currently using a SuperCharge Calcium battery in my Paj.

Went thru that process recently Orejap and decided to go for an Exide Endurance in the N70 size and maintenance free.
N70zzl-mf , much same price but a little better in some areas like CCA = 730 etc.

not that you need 730 cca for most 4wd diesels the ca is higher in our temp range and i reckon 165 on a delkor h710 is a great price i would jump at it.
many higher cca battery the plates wear down to much.
keep it simple
cheers

I went for a Yuasa Power Ultra N70ZZL maintenance free battery over the Delcor, cranks at
well over 800CCA and offers just over 100AH in cycle mode. These are just over $200 and are designed to last over 5 years.
