TOOLEY
Hi all, I am looking at purchasing a new Prado & want put some tyres for a little off road & lots of gravel driving in WA. A couple of suggestions have been Hankook Dynapro RF10 AT or Cooper Discoverer AT3.
Your thoughts & experiences would be great.
Cheers Tooley

Hi Tooley
I am like a good number of replies that you have already received and run the Bridgestone 694 LT on my Prado. No road noise what so ever and you would swear that you were running Highway tyres on the vehicle. They have seen a lot of driving over in your great desert track in WA including:
Connie Sue Highway
Anne Beadell HighwayDavid Carnegie RoadGreat Central RoadGunbarrel Highway
Cocklebiddy to
Rawlinna Track
Trans Access Road to Kalgoorlie
Simpson DesertBirdsville Track
plus lots of other bush tracks
Yes I have ruined one tyre while on some cross country work out in the
Sydney Yeo Ranges when a Mulga stump hidden in spinifex torn the side out of one tyre - that was my fault and not the tyres.
They are a great tyre and would have no hesitations on putting them on again.
Cheers
Stephen

Hi Tooley,
I put BFG ATs on my 150 from new, towed tandem 2.5t van from Melb to
Kimberley, GRR. Have done 55K and are wearing
well, not as good in the mud as Cooper STs .In MHO a better tyre on and off road than bridgestone. What ever you get make sure they are LT construction!
Happy motoring.
