on my last post heading to
birdsville got there ok. but they said innaminca was still wet and could not get to
the dig tree. so we changed plans and went down the
birdsville track. road crews are hard at work doing a fantastic job. over night at
coopers creek. cold winds and mice made for a bad night. back to the ferry for a look tour operator said more water was coming down. on to
farina to
camp lot of
ruins they are restoring.
toilets and showers ( light the donkey boiler ) heading south few showers very cold wind. drove to
mannahill found shelter to pitch the tent. offsider not happy with the cold so done the motels job and came
home. 1 week early but next time take the caravan. bad news is growl in the gearbox so out it comes $$. on a high note would like to thank all the transport operators real gentlemen.
george.

Hi shedboy
Heading that way in two weeks time. We've been hearing lots of reports on mice, how bad is the problem, did you suffer damage to your gear etc. Some up to date info would be good.
Thanks Jon

there were mice at
farina and
coopers creek. sitting around after tea they would run over and around your feet. mostly it was the noise of them running along the tent edges. keep your tent zipped up before dark.
check conditions when you get near as more water was supposed to be coming down.
