Do you mean the fan starts once you give it push?

Could be that the brushes are worn.

Rob, I think I am confusing you. Its not the fan. There is a knob which is for recycle air and air from outside. When I move the knob to outside air, nothing comes out of the vents.

So when you have it on recycle with the fan on it blows air, but when you have it on fresh air with the fan on it doesn't blow air, right?

Then it sounds like something is blocking the fresh air intake.

When you're standing still or moving?

Not unless you're travelling at supersonic speeds. It might depend as to where the air intake is, usually near the bottom of the windscreen, and the angle of the windscreen, which will push air down into the duct.

I think there is an air filter somewhere along the way, so that would severely reduce the velocity of any air coming straight through.

hi pelican66
this has been a problem on other makes as well
and it was found to be that the bowden cable had come adrift from the baffle that directs air through the various settings
you have to get in under the dash usually behind the controls to where the cable connects to the baffle
not sure on triton specifics

Hi Pelican, I have a MN 2010 Triton and, like yours, when "Flow Through" is selected you cannot notice any discernible flow of air.

Basicly I think all that is happening is a slight pressurisation of the cabin occurs which forces stale air out the ducts allowing Fresh air in.

If you want to feel a breeze you need to switch on the fan.

Cheers Neil
