new boy
The pamplet says for extended storage the filter cartridges should be kept in the crisper in the fridge.I think SWMBO will arc up at this so Question does anyone else place them in the fridge and with what results
Thanks

HI New Boy
I just let
mine air dry and store it in a fairly airy place until next time -then I make sure I give it a very good flush before using the water. So far so good.
Cheers
Alex

Hi new boy,
I have recently acquired a filter, and likewise was told to store in the fridge. I simply drain, place inside a plastic bag and stick the filter out of the way in the fridge. It seem ok at this stage. I ensure that I flush an amount of water thru the filter before I start drinking it.
Another tip I was told about was to use Napisan in my porta-potti, instead of expensive, and sometimes smelly chemicals. i am very happy with this. It is cheap and odourless.

What kind of filter is it?
For extended storage you must keep the pathogens at bay so I'd suggest a soak in 10% bleach solution. Then dry and store.
On re-use give it a good flush first.
