Just want you all to know that we will be magnanimous in victory.

We will serve as role models to all those teams, and supporters (you know who you are), that don't know how to win gracefully.

We won't gloat.

Yep well done you POM's - if we had to lose I cannot think of a better way to go down (except maybe to the All Blacks) with it going into additional time and down to the last minute or so. That bloody Jonny Wilkinson or whatever he is a legend with the boot. Anyway I suppose you POM's are a little more use to playing in the rain. NEXT TIME
PS. The Rugby League - what was the score there, have you heard !!!Cheers, Beddo

Good one Larry. About time the Poms won something.

Once the Poms win some more then they may learn how to gloat. I may be mad but I'm not crazy

Mad Dog (or may I call you mad for short? Or maybe dog?),

Well they were very clever rejoinders, I think the best was “Go home, pom” or was it “oz is the best yeah yeah yeah.” You’re obviously a very witty bloke, much too witty for me, I can’t possibly match it with you. I can understand how you got such a great nickname. BTW did you give it to yourself or did somebody else bestow it on you? Maybe the SAS, or the Mafia?

Now I’m guessing but I’d say you’re 12 years old, really into action movies & Britney Spears, barrack for Collingwood, & your parents don't know you’re on the computer. Am I right? I thought so.

Look son, a couple of tips; work hard at school, look after your mum, and for god’s sake, when you grow up, never, never, drive a 4WD. Will you promise me that? Good boy. Now go & do your homework & stop bothering the grown-ups.

Regards
Larry

PS. It is all about supporting a team. It’s not a war, it’s a game. I’ve supported the English rugby, cricket & football teams for over 50 years. I didn’t know anything about Rugby League till I came here in 1980 so I’ve been supporting Easts, & Australia, since then.

PPS. Why am I talking to a sad muppet like you?

PPPS. Hooroo?? Oh, I get it, you’re Don Burke.

There has to be a winner and a loser. Congrats to the Lions for their victory, if only just.

Now Larry, when are you going to take up Aussie citizenship seeing as you live in the Blue Mountains?

Cheers,

Willem

Why do you assume I haven't already. You don't just give up supporting a football team because you move. Or do you?

If you have become an Aussie then why is your allegiance still with your former country? After all the Rugby Team is the official team for Great Britian and not a secular club.

I too came from another country..still speak the language of that country.... I have been a citizen of Australia since the late '60s and my allegiance is solely Australian.

So, if you cannot make the transition to be an Australian then you had better look at other options.

Have a nice day

Congratulations to the Poms on a great victory. They worked hard for it and good luck to them.

I just hope the trophy won't be lonesome in the trophy cabinet all by it'self.

Well our "Dad's Army" of "Grumpy old men" did alright, but the real challenge now is sorting out our cricket team!
