Ian,

Assuming you are using the default folder structure where maps are stored in Ozi's "maps" folder, first create a suitable subfolder (say "250k" or "100k" or ...) within Ozi's Maps folder. Then copy the big .ecw file into it.

Open Ozi and use File|Import Map|ECW maps to import the file. This will open a window where you define the source folder (your newly created one containing the .ecw file) and destination (that same folder). Ozi will then create a .map file which is it's way of calibrating and defining the location of the natmap ecw image.

Cheers

John

As a matter of interest are using Windows 7 .If so I was informed by Geoscience that natmap 2008 digital maps and OziExplorer are difficult to use together. We tried using the links provided by Ozi @ Geoscience and gave up in the finish as we are not computer savvy but then again the melbourne map shop we bought the Natmap discs from were not much help either

G'day John Y

I use Ozi & Natmaps on Win 7.

I did have a problem installing the Natmaps dvds, turned out to be the Natmaps viewer, which you don't need.

Just install Ozi, and the Natmaps on DVD2, forget the Natmap Viewer, and off you go!

I must admit I do still have a small problem, but will re-install the maps again, 1/2 of them work, the other half don't, not sure what I did wrong, maybe the filepath.

Cheers, Dave
