I have been looking into the wide range of navigational units out there. Has anyone have any information on the 5"and 7" GPS unit from Brash Imports.
I need to update my old Tom Tom which is good for street city value but now its time to go to topo maps.
I need an GPS unit that is on the dash (not in the dash) and has reversing camera (for two not at the same time - car caravan at seperate times), capability and has car charger. Also it can also take topo maps Ozi Explorer.

Plenty of Chinese units available and while Brash Imports have not bad stuff have found them not to be at the lower end of prices.
Have a look on Ebay Lots on there.

Bonz,
I am hoping the iGo street nav is better than the Route 66 as I intend to use it for work, but I think most of the roads I'll travel will only be on the topo maps ;)
I loved the 15% off as I got it for $764.00 :))
Cheers Kev

Massively overpriced IMHO! Chinese equiv, (and they are all made in China) delivered to your door for less than $100.00, + Ozi + maps, still less than half that price.
Cheers

Would also check the forums for after sales service or rather the lack of it in a lot of cases.

Peter,
I know of one EO member who went that path and in less than 6 months the unit is stuffed. Unsure if he has any warranty on the unit.
Cheers Kev

There is also a heap who have had units replaced without question by Hema.
There is always going to be issues with any unit you buy so buy what ever your comfortable with.

I bought the Hema HN5 around Feb this year and had trouble with Route66 twice. Rang Hema and unit was sent back twice. On the last return was informed by Hema that they would upgrade the unit to the new Street system HN5i free of charge. Now I call that great backup. No problems with the unit now. All I need now is for my 6 year old grandson to help me sort it out. Not that great with the new tech stuff.

Kevin,
Don't need warranty when you have contents insurance. But yep, whatever you are comfortable with.
