I suggests you either check with SA Roads or Wilcannia Police.
I tried to do it last week and both tracks were closed.

happytravelers, We went down there 2 weeks ago for a look, We had no intention of travelling on the roads if they were closed but after talking to other travellers and talking to the people at the info centre at the Back of Bourke centre then going down to Tilpa hotel and speaking to them also, they all said it was open so off we went. ( I know I am bad) We came across a small puddle of water across the road that you could ride a bike thru. So I guess you could ring the local police and council (as we did) and make your own decision. Cheers Mick Image Could Not Be Found
