I will be travelling solo to
Alice Springs in September and intend to do the Larapinta trail which takes approx 20 days. I will need to have secure
parking for my trailer and car during that period. Does anybody have info on secure
parking in Alice?

You could try Mcdonnell Ranges Van park.
They have a huge area out the back where if I remember correctly they did allow some
parking.
Would be worth a try and whole park its fenced and fairly secure.

I used Self Storage Australia. I was able to lock the car in a storage shed. I don't know if they have larger units for car and trailer. You may need two units.
The other option is to park in the open in a locked area like at Dave's Used Cars. There is a huge yard at the back.
Unless you know someone with a private
home in a safe area the above are the only secure options.

I have stored at G,Day Mate cp, see Dave, very reasonable rates.
As an aside, I am in Halls Ck and storing camper in the cp, great people to deal with.
Cheers

You might be able to leave it at the Telegraph Station.

IF you start from Alice end of the Trail, you could store it at
Glen Helen "resort", only 1.2 days walk back from Redbank where you stay on your last night. Alternatively I'm sure the resort could pick you up at a pre arranged time. You could see them just before you get to the end.
Enjoy the walk, I did the western 40% last year, doing the middle 40% in late August this year.

Wendy, I get
home around 4-5 September, contact me should you require any last minute updates.
We are going in at Elery Big Hole out at
Stanley Chasm, which is the hardest part of the trail so I am told.
Last year we started at Redbank/Mt Sonder and came out at the
Ochre Pits.
One of the best things we did last year was
camp at Ormiston
Gorge for an extra day and did a day walk with the Pound walk and then X country to Bowmans Gap and
waterhole.
