Hi all,
Does anyone have first hand experience with the spiral wound batteries supplied by advertiser "Battery Value"?
I know about the Optima version but they are exxy and good but was looking for a cheaper alternative.
Thanks.

Hello Whirlwinder
I have used them and my brother has 2 fitted to his 80 series (Exide Orbitals 50AH).
They seriously put out the starting current and are deep cycle as
well - in fact even though they are rated at 50 / 48AH , they can be discharged further without damage and deliver more useful power than you 70 odd AH normal batteries - think
mine were $250 - still pricey.
Gone back to a single Century Overlandes now - but only to save weight as I have managed to hack and squeeze an N70 into my standard Nissan Patrol battery holder.

Hi Robin,
if you don't mind me asking, what's the standard battery size/dimensions for your vehicle?
cheers, Peter

Don't know about the "batter value" but the wifes Jeep came standard with the redtop Optima , battery now 6yrs old and still good as new. Price divided by time = value.
