I have a Japanese GU SWB and I plan to have a detachable electric winch. I plan to prepare front and rear mounting panels, harness etc.

The main pro is that 98% of the time the winch will be stored at the trunk (or even garage if driving in the city), not under the rain, snow, salt and dirt (I am not in AU). Also I can winch backward if necessary.

This is the idea. Is it possible? Maybe any advice on the models?

Thank you!

Warn sell them already.. Was in 4wd mthly few mths back...

You use Towbar for rear mount, and then front mount, not sure, but yea they are heavy, and arent good for fuel econ... Mine is off at the moment, if it was a 15 min job to reinstall I would only put it on for weekends!

check the Ateco and warn sites..
