We have just returned from a three day flying tour of the area between Marree in the south, Bedourie in the north, Innamincka in the east and William Creek to the west. If you want to look at where we flew check out Kevin S on Members EOTrack Me page.

The blog is coming but here are some interesting pics that tell a story about water, water everywhere. This is my first go at putting photographs on the forum so I hope they come out OK.

You will need to read them from the bottom as they came out in reverse order to the way I loaded them in.

It would be great to see the area from the air .

I think you have just spoiled my planned trip across the Simpson in August. I dont think the roads will be open by then.

Plan B in progress :-)

Cheers

Yes Wayne, I could see tracks coming over the top of dunes to disappear into the temporary lakes only to emerge to run up the next dune and into the next lake. Depressing if you want to go that way.

Thanks Kevin, I am also planning a trip in August. Just said to the wife we may need to pack a squeegee as part of the recovery gear.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the great pics - what a sight! I'm getting excited. We are leaving early in the morning from Canberra heading for Birdsville, down the Track, Maree, up the Strez to Innamincka then maybe Currawinya NP.
