Hi Folks,

Have fixed my GQ rattles in my front doors when windows down.

After inside panel is removed, just underneath the speaker hole there is a small hole whch when new held the front window track to the door. This seems to break away , i drilled a small hole and ftted a bolt into bracket holding track, which has stopped the track from moving.

I also fitted new felt into the bottom half of the track, and now have no rattles at all, windows up or down, and when shutting door.

Took me awhile to find problem, but haif hour to fix.

Happy Nissan owner now.

Cheers Col

Gq's can also suffer from the front door hinges tearing off the A pillar around where they are welded on. Caused by leaning heavily on the door when getting in and out.
Also the door tops being relatively light bend outwards over time and then get sucked out by the slipstream at speed causing whistles around the rubbers. To fix wind the window down, sit in the seat, place a board wrapped in a towel or similar along the top of the door below window height, place your knees against the board and pull the top of the door frame in with you hands.
My cousin used them commercially for years and they all suffered the problem especially when you were getting in and out constantly in slippery conditions and hanging onto the door for support.
