Hello everyone,

Well we have been up into Lawn Hill yet again. It still is a beautiful spot. We are now at Julia Creek. Have been here for the last three days meeting all kinds of people. After Hughenden we are turning left and heading to Cooktown should be there in 1 1/2 - 2 weeks. My question is can anyone offer any recomendations on places to store our van as we intend on going to Weipa we hope to be on the cape for at least 2 weeks camping with our tent so I guess we will have to keep an eye out for snakes..

Thanks

You could ask at Cooktown about van storage.
You could also make the same inquiries at Cairns.

I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Cheers Dodg.

Mt Carbine Caravan Park do storage, managers are great, amenities are clean and tidy and the price is right.

You won't have much trouble finding somewhere to store your van Andrea.
Don't worry too much about snakes either . Concentrate your awareness towards driving. We are dropping like flies from the traffic accidents up here in Qld.
James Bond was licensed to kill. I guess that means he got his licence in QLD.

There you go.
Phill Liggit on SBS just gave some stats in an add for the Amie Gillet Foundation.
9000 cyclists are hospitalised & 40 are killed in Australia each year.
320 died on Qld roads & 6200 hospitalised last year.
Maybe 2 or 3 died of snakebite.
