I'm in the process of planning our trip there at the moment which will include the coral coast,
gibb river road etc.
I'd love to get to these
places also but the other vehicles coming with us are a bit gun shy on rugged 4wding (in Prado's so the car is ok but they don't want to damage their new cars). I have an old GQ so I don't care :)
What the road like to get to this place (and what is it called) and how much time should I allocate?
Sorry for the dumb questions but I've never been in this part of WA so I'm trying to fill in the gaps between maps and internet searching.
Cheers,

You can't take your fourby to the Horizontal Waterfalls so rough road is not an issue but cost might be. You fly from
Derby or bus and fly from
Broome. Do the tour that gives you an over night stop at the Falls. It ads greatly to the magic of the experience. Also try to go when the tides are big. We had 10 meters of tide. Awesome,
Kevin
