Justin you do not say which motor is in your duelcab, but both are very good durable motors. The 2.6 efi petrol loves extractors and a good exhaust, and is very tuneable. But the conversion will cost more then the truck is worth, but yes the v6 is a very compact motor and it is surprising what it will fit into.
Good luck Pete

it is the standard engine in it. it is petrol the main reason im enquiring is because the head is cracked so in thinking if i cant get another motor i will need something that will fit

No problem getting a head for a 2.6 I would think. Mate just rebuilt his and bored it out to 2.7. If you are having trouble getting a head let me know and I will ask where he got his from. New head, rings and bearings and it will be good for another 300000ks..
I would think you would be looking at $4000 if you do the work yourself, and double that if you pasy someone. Give that guy at Moree a ring and ask him for and estimate for him to do it.
I have head off some experts being able to reweld heads as
well.
Good luck, let us know what you decide on
Cheers Pete
