Hi All

In October I am planning a trip to Mt Gould near Meekatharra and I was wondering whether it is still possible to camp there. Someone told they camped there three years ago but thats a long time things might have changed.

If someone has been there recently, what was there in way off facilities?

Cheers
Mark

Not recent but these were the facilities in October 2007.

I doubt that things have changed. Hope they have :-)

Thanks for your reply.

Love the shower LoL

How long did you stay there?

Looks like a peaceful spot, plenty of flies :)

Didn't camp there. Camped on the banks of the Gascoyne a bit further on.

When Giles was passing through Mt Gould in 1876 he complained about the flies
that infested the whole air and caused discomfort to the eyes. It later caused ophthalmia and that is how the Ophthalmia Range was named.

Yes, the flies were bad and so were the mossies at the Gascoyne.

You may already know that the Landor Races are on Oct 6-10. We missed them but should be fun.

Stim72, passed through there a few weeks back, yep you can still camp out, the grass was about a foot high. Interesting the see the photos of four years ago, amazing how the country changes.
