all "second hand" info meaning very simply that it is from others that we have asked .......
The "robinson river" is 600mm deep with reasonablly steep entrys, the Calvert is fine at about 300mm, the road has some bad patches but it can vary day to day as cattel are being trucked out in roadtrains, if you dont like BIG trucks then DONT bother travelling on it ... you can get fuel at Hells Gate and Doomadgee ...... there has been croc sightings at some of the crossings, with a large one resident at Suprise Creek....

And on the 16 of Aug there will be 37.4mm of rain at the calvert and levels will rise to 622mm deep and flow at a rate of 5m a sec, the Robinson will have 76.4mm of rain and rise to 754mm deep, corrigations at Doomadgee end will be 45mm deep as 254 cars and 32 trucks will have traveled over it, it will have had one maintenance grade on the 4th Aug....... 672 cattle will have crossed the road, 145 roos, 95 horses, 27 pigs, 15 buffs, 47 emus, 68 dingos, 4578 mice, 1322 bush rats and 876 owls will land on or cross the road from now and up to that date ..

Cheers
Joe

Mmmm... I see the dingo figures are down on last year's and the emu figures are up. What's going on there, something to do with the 876 howls maybe?
