Solar and 240 Charger.

Hi I have a caravan with 2 100 amp battery's which are charged with a Ctek 25 amp charger work great,now I would like to put solar on the van can I leave the solar hook up went on 240 volts in a caravan park and if I cannot is there a simple way around the problem with out buying a new charger,I would prefer a automatic system.

Here's what works for us: Solar maintains the batteries. Don't even need powered sites unless we want to run the air conditioner, heater or need extra power. If batteries need a top up, we plug in the CTEK 25 (purchased when in a shady site in Darwin and used twice). It travels safely and securely in its box. Yes, solar stays on when charging with the CTEK. CTEK have a simple connector call 'comfort connect' to make it easy to plug onto batteries without need for clips.

Depending on your power needs, with two 100 a/h, and depending on what solar panels you add, you may need additional power more often than us.

No reason why you cannot leave the solar connected @ALL times IF it has a regulator
