Ok so there are rats and mice in South Australia and Western Queensland

After all the big rains over the past 12 months I was expecting the evenings to be miserable out in the bush. Not so! No bities! And present we are camped right on the beach.

On our travels through inland Queensland and up the Cape we have encountered sandflies at one location only. No mozzies, No flies and I have yet to see a Cane Toad. Even spiders seem to be hiding.

Indeed a strange phenomenon

Hi SIF4X4,

No bities in Boulia but plenty of big hungry rats and big hungry yellowbelly! We have just camped overnight on the banks of the Burke River.

Regards,

Heather

Good observation, but I think that might be the cooler weather, too.
