Currently I am building a crossover ( Quantum- Kimberley Karavan-Complete Campsite). Mine is a mixture of all three.

I have never made a poptop before and it will be modelled of a Quantum. The actual poptop will be similar to a pop top caravan and will be 2000 wide by 4000 long (mm of course).

Appreciate any advice and suppliers of components. I am Maroochydore. (where at the moment 7am, it is still warm enough for a t shirt)

Thanks

I've just finished (sort of ;-)) turning the Oka into a fully self contained motorhome so know where you are coming from.
As we live in a small country town at least an hours drive from a regional centre and even further from a city I bought 99% of components either online or over the phone. Spent many days sourcing stuff to get the best price and service/quality.
For most of the caravan/motorhome type fittings I ordered online from Caravans Plus , extremely good to deal with, across the board the prices were usually line ball with anywhere else and the service and shipping was first class and very prompt.
I bought everything from the loo, plumbing, wiring, scissor lifts, pantry cupboard, shower base, etc etc from them.
The Xantrex 1800w PSW inverter came from Keogh's Marine as they were the cheapest by far. Also prompt to deliver and deal with.
The Vitrifrigo frdge came from 130l Vitrifrigo fridge, again they were the cheapest and delivered promptly.
We have no gas, use an electric jug to boil water and diesel cooktop, diesel water heater and space heating from Webasto direct. Webasto
For fuseboxes which have an integral ground strip so everything can be wired direct (no earth return and then hopefully less voltage problems) we used these ones bought either on ebay or direct from them. fusebox
Solar panels were bought on ebay from Bit Deals, again very good to deal with, prompt shipping etc. I've bought about 8 panels from them now for myself and friends. We have four 125w panels and 480ah AGM batteries from All Purpose Batteries
The solar controller is a Plasmatronics PL40.
Water tanks from Abbertanks again good to deal with and good prices.
If you have any more questions ask away.

Thanks Peter, I will let my fingers do the walking. Over the keyboard rather than the phone dialer like the add says. Appreciated.
