Hi All,

Just a note to let you all know that a few of us EO forumites are planning a get together at Little Desert in Vic over the Labour Day weekend. The dates are Friday 7th March to Monday 10th March. I know some cannot make it for the entire four days, but if anyone can make it, the more the merrier.

It will be here faster than you think.

CheersJust Do It!

Yes it is from the Gembrook trip. The problem was the air flow meter and the air con. compressor clutch bearing any way about $1200 inc. labor. So anyway being just out of warranty (time not kms) i thought i would give nissan aust. a ring and see if they would cover it with a good will warranty, since all the problems with the ZD30's, but no luck. I was just told i should have got the ext. warranty, to this i got on my high horse and told the nice lady word for word what the fine print said in the booklet i got for the ext. warranty. as follows "This warranty will cease to operate and no claims will be accepted where the vehicle: 1. Has been modified from our original specifications." And it go's on and on. Anyway me being a simple minded man thought this ruled me out. But then the same nice lady told me that what was in the book was wrong (stupid me) and that only if a non original part fails or causes the problem it is not covered. So with this being the case after some sweet talking the nice lady ( I told you she was a nice lady) let me get the ext. warranty and that was cheeper than the stuff that had to be done, and i've still got 2 years of warranty. Then there is nissan (bendigo), but thats a story still in progress. Just a little puddle we found down in Gembrook

Eric, don't worry about this black duck, l am slowly doing little mod's to the cruiser and when the boys are setteled, it will be unstopable(I hope), priced a set of ARB srub bars for it, cannot remember exactly how much but it was around $900 for two peices of pipe - "there dreaming"(form the Castle if you didn't know), there is an engineering place around the corner, l will speak to the bloke there to see how much to get some made up, probably be stronger too!

Hi Eric,

Horseshoe and Ackle Bends have toilets/water/fire pits. Horseshoe Bend can accommodate caravans (no power though). Both spots are on the Wimmera River.

Nice place to camp...lots of shade, sandy base etc

Hope this helpsJust Do It!

Hi Eric, for the life of me I cannot remember, but Mad Dog is correct Dimboola is a five minute drive to Horseshoe bend. The camp fees are collected by Parks Victoria, so maybe you could call them on 131963 and they may be able to tell you. If not, the info centre at Horsham on 1800633218 may have the info you require.

Please let us know if you find out. We may find that with the number of people coming on the weekend it may be better to find accomm in the Dimboola CP.Just Do It!

Have you noticed that we recently published a Trek Note for the Little Desert - submitted by a User, now Member-Karen. She could't supply photos or plot files so could someone in the group please collect some pics to illustrate the Trek Notes - campsites, track, terrain, plants etc, the group on the track PLUS can someone please record the trip on OziExplorer making waypoints along the way at each intersection, point of interest as noted in Karen's trek notes (plus any others you wish to add). Remember, we pay Member Money for this stuff so make it a paying EO trip!!... Oh, and have fun you guys.ExplorOz
