I have a Jeep Grand CRD with the Mercedes 2.7l 5 cylinder motor. I am pretty sure they are the same motor. I get single figure economy usually in the 9's if that is any help. It's pretty zippy as
well being a Euro diesel. I'm not looking forward to any repair bills if they happen :-). Mike

Do not know about the 2.7 economy as have a 2.2, but I understand there can be challenges with the electrical cabling of ex ambo's, I you do not know about this suggest you look at Australian Sprinter

Jim
The ex ambos are an excellent vehicle.but there are traps. Don't buy one privately as the seller may have found or created a problem. If you buy directly from the auctions you will get a running and
well serviced vehicle. As to fuel economy they are the best. I have 4 ex ambos and all do under10L/100. If you buy one talk to me before you drive it on a long trip as there are a few wires that should be removed. If you service your own vehicles the running costs are low but if you rely on others to do the work they will rip you off. Eric
