Think there's digital TV in the Isa, but other west Qld centres are still analogue.

Think Darwin would be digital now, and maybe the Alice, but unlikely to be in Katherine or Tennant Ck.

Try Imparja or Seven Central websites, they might give you an idea, as they both transmit in the NT & west Qld.
Supposed to be pretty good, with up to 12 channels on "free-to-air" up this way - reckon there'd be some nights when it still wouldn't be worth watching!!!

Most nights. It is still best to stick to SBS or Auntie. Too many American canned laughter "shows" on the other channels.

I am pretty sure its both. I have analogue and digital and Iparja, ABC and SBS qld and NT are present on the analogue and digital menus. I can't access them but I can see they are online. analogue isn't switched of for another year or so I thought.

Oh, reason I can't access all of them is I am in WA. Commercial stations from other states show up as avaliable but my card isn't set to recieve them.

I found western Qld hit and miss. The only sure way to access all 16 channels is with VAST satellite TV. If you register for NT you get the northern zone which is Qld TV, so is half an hour behind.

The official switchover is the 2nd half of 2013 - see here for details. What you actually get in a particular area is much harder to find out though, eg our change is officially later this year, but all channels are already digital in our area.

Hi There

We have Digtal terrestrial TV in Alice Springs. For remote areas they would be using the Aurora Satellite service which is now converting to VAST. The VAST sat service is excellent except the STB as mandated by the government is a sad basic thing :-)

Cheers..Pete in Alice
