Hi All. I am new to this forum and am looking for advise from the many experts here.
We are almost finished building our 5th wheeler from scratch and it is fast approaching time to register and insure it. Our usual insurer, AAMI, doesn't insure home built vans. Can anybody recommend a reputable insurer who does?

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, looking forward to hearing from you.

The main insurance company that many 5th wheeler and mobile home owners use is Ken Tame. They are the preferred insurer for the members of the CMCA clubs which has approx 50,000 members Australia wide.

Why wait until it is finished to insure it? A fire in your shed would be very expensive.
I had "construction insurance" on the OKA while building. It covered all the materials and appliances thet had been purchased and could be increased as the build progressed.
We are also insured with Ken Tame. You will need an independent valuation.

G'day Fifth Wheel.

Try this bloke for an internet valuation, 0747232744. Needs lots of photos and full description but seems fine. We too have a home made unit insured with Ken Tame, no problems so far.
