Hi,

We have bought a Jayco Expanda and a Pajero and we wondered if you would recommend to get a weight distribution hitch for it?

Cheers

I have a 4 bar WDH on my Paj towing the Rapid and I would recomend it.
It levels of the van and also helps with the handling of the Paj it actually seems better to drive with the van on.

Cheers.

Check the vehicle hand book and I think you'll find that Mitsubishi require an approriate WDH be used when towing.
You'll need to establish what the Ball Weight of the loaded Expanda is, not what's on the Vin Plate as that's for an unladen van.
10% of the ATM is a good starting point to consider what size WDH you may require.
2 round bars for upto 80Kg.
4 round bars for 80 - 120Kg.
4 bar HR Minnie Hitch - 80 - 130Kg.
HR550 or similar 100Kg - 250Kg
Cheers, Ozjohn.

In my experience of before and after, definitely improves handling and feel on the road, plus reduces wear and tear on your rear suspension. Big safety plus

Also transfers some of the weight on the hitch from behind the rear axle to the front, improving steering and controlability.
