Wild flowers Flinders Rangers

We are planning a trip to the Flinders Rangers what's the best time to go to see willd flowers? On the way thought we would visit the Clare & Jamestown area, is this worthwhile or are we best to spend our 3 weeks in the northern areas of SA?

We were up at Blinman last weekend , and it is really green up there, around Wilpena the grass under the tree's is really high,
They have had heaps of rain this year so the wildflowers should be great,
Only a few out as yet ( hops), but it is warming up next week so they will burst out soon,
Cheers Des.

Hi Sheryl

If you want to see a sample of wildflowers that can be seen in Clare (my home town) have a look at my Spring Gully Blog that I did last year....

http://www.exploroz.com/Members/58567.5/12/2010/Spring_Gully_Conservation_Park___Eucalyptus_macrorhyncha_-__Red_Stringybark.aspx?ky=&p=%2fMembers%2f58567.5%2fMyBlog.aspx

Not many people that pass through the area are aware of Spring Gully and it is a great place to visit.

As for the Flinders, anytime from now on. The Hops are out and Sturt Pea are out in some locations in the northern Flinders.

Have a great time in a very pretty part of SA and the Flinders, well they are one on the best places here in SA

Cheers

Image Could Not Be FoundHi Stephen,
much easier for everyone if you actually insert your link like this wildflowers blog
by using the "insert link" button at the botom which will open a bow to inset the URL and name before you "submit".

Yes how silly of me, as I have never done that before, just Copy and Paste the Address. I will give it a go next time.

Thanks

I went up to Copley and Nepabunna with some people who've always lived there. They said it is so much greener than they've seen it in years right now.
