Rear seats in a 60 series

A friend has a 60 series (actually a 62 series I think, twin square headlights). He asked about rear seats for it like the 80 series have. I told him I have not seen them in the 60 series but said I would check for him. So..does anyone know if you can get seats for the rear of the 60 series or can you fit them from the 80 series and how hard is it.

Hi Josh,
Third row seats were fitted to the 60 series Sahara wagons, these vehicles had a higher roof over the rear section, but I don't see why seats from one of these could not be fitted to the standard 60 series wagon.

HI Josh,

Yes you can get them for a 60series. As well as the Sahara they were also available in Limited Edition models as an option eg the Aristocrat Limited Edition model (1985). I know of a good set of third row seats for a 60 series that is available (out of a GXL Aristocrat - not Sahara) if your friend is interested contact me.

The main issue will be to get the seats certified for use in a vehicle not originally fitted with them.

Certification is easy.
I put Ford Fairmont front seats in my 60. Used the original mounts and put braces under the bolts.
Passed the Blue Inspection first go.
