Could any one tell me were and if a device is available to make it easier to lift my poptop roof?
We have a Golf poptop and had the roof replaced last year, since then have only used it once as the roof is too heavy to lift. I went back to the guy who fitted the roof but got the run around.
If any of you have any idea, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
Steve

Just buy any caravan magazine and you will see adds for the solution to your problem. That is if it is just a normal weight issue and not a mechanical problem. It could be also be one or more faulty gas struts. Worth a second opinion.

Steve,
It maybe as simple as having the struts re-gassed or fitting stronger ones if the weight of the repaired roof was increased.
If that's not the problem then maybe Air Lifters would improve your situation.
