Followed the previous thread with interest and note from searching on fluoros that Versalite generally get the thumbs up.

Any suggestions on where I can get my paws on some in the Brisbane area?

Ross

In july of this year I ran into two dudes from Brisbane near Poepels Cnr.

My wife and I travelled with them for a day and two nights.

On the second night they strung a rope between the roof racks of their two vehicles and suspended a 12V light in the middle of it over a trestle table (yep! they carried a trestle table) while the prepared their evening meal.

Why I am telling you this is, that mother of a light was like a million candle power, bleep it was bright and illuminated the their whole area of operation and some.

PUNCHLINE: They purchased it from ARB in Brisbane.

Even though I meant to, I never did get the brand name or model number, however it did come from ARB, so if your interested maybe they can advise you.

Yep, I bought one years ago & I have had heaps people asking me "what is it, it's so good"?
Try looking at it and it nearly burns your eyeball out. They are polar sensetive and only draw about 1/2 amp. You can also get a 240v one now, great work light at home. Prices around the $90.ooCarpe Diem

Versa-Lite is the brand name. I bought my original one at Boots Outdoors Camping. Just make sure you by the brand name, beware of cheap imitations. You wont be disappointed. Try a phone around, if you are still stuck let me know and I'll let you know the manufacturers name. Think they are made in Vic.Carpe Diem
