The most important thing you can have when in a survival situation is knowledge. If you haven't got it then buy Bob's knowledge. Next most important thing is one of Bobs kits. I have done one of Bobs courses and have one of his kits and both are great and I should know as I also dabbled with being a survival teacher 25 years ago.
