Hey Bungarra I see your post dated Feb 2008 on Boss air bags, did you go for them? if so how have they performed? and where did you get them from?
Thanks in advance
Rod

Hi Rod
I have also bought Boss air bags for my ute. They have been great and will often carry the max load with ease.
I ended up purchasing the entire boss kit which included Boss compressor PX 07, 15 litre air tank, water trap, left and right controllers with gauge, and the air bags. All for $990. I think they will be a bit more now though.
Had a problem with the compressor with the butterfly valve coming loose and ruining the piston and barrel. I have recently ordered a new piston and barrel for $80. That compressor smashes the air in. And it is 100% duty cycle so once I have done my tires I can pump up other tires and the compressor doesn't time out with overheating.
Cheers
Serendipity

Thanks

Gday Rod,
I've got the Boss airbags too - good quality, and I've had them for about 4 years now. Just don't put too much pressure in them or you might bend the chassis (depending on your vehicle) - I treat them as a load levelling device, not a substitute for adequate springs. I never put more than 25psi in mine even though Boss say you can go to 100. They will reduce your vehicle's articulation - on mine there is about 80mm less travel.

G'day Rod, your not putting bags under the Hilux?
We have been looking at airbags (to my dislike) for our Landcruiser and it looks like we are going to use Firestone's due to the connector going into the air bag as opposed to Polyairs.
Whats the reason for going Boss?

G'day olcoolone,
I don't have a Hilux. I have a Troopy.
I was looking a Boss as Bungarra's original post mentioned "lifetime guarantee", but in looking on Boss's website their "lifetime guarantee means 3 years and pro-rata thereafter. I'll be out checking Firestone also.
