G'day G G

The Taipan XP exhaust system is quite simply, a very well engineered and manufactured exhaust system. All the advertised claims the product comes with are pretty much correct. Sadly the human element in the fitting of a quality product can cause some angst ~ but the actual product is near faultless.

Yes the Taipan XP system is as dear as poison compared to other popular advertised systems that claim the same advantages of increased engine power output etc ~ but a profesional Dyno tune is an absolute must to complement all the effort involved. The Dyno tune should be done before and after fitting the exhaust.

I can honestly say the fitting of an after market exhaust plus the dyno tune most definately increased the power output of my 1HD-T engined Land Cruiser.

I had the exhaust/dyno work done some years ago now, in Perth by a reputable diesel turbo~injection workshop. I could'nt be more pleased with the Taipan XP system.

Hi GG

I will tell you in about 2 weeks ...I have my LC 100 td booked in at Tiapan to get their exhaust fitted on my way to Brisbane to see friends, so I will be able to do a before and after comparison. It is a 1700km drive there and back,so hopefully the good reports I have heard about their system will be confirmed.

cheers
Peter

Hi GG,

Two of my mates have the Taipan and the chip on their 100 series and they go amazingly well. One had tyhe Beaudesert on his patrol and opted for the Taipan for the Hunjy. I have the Taipan on my 3.0l Patrol and I am rapt with it also.

GG, I may fit the Bonza description somewhere, mate, having fitted a Beaudesert system to the Nissan 4.2 and Taipan to the 100 Series 4.2. No doubt the turbo in the 100 Series spools up much quicker than it did, wheel torque is great enough to chirp at times. The Nissan just breathes totally differently, drop it off the turbo revs and you change down a gear, but chalk and cheese difference.

The Taipan system is noisier, but the engines are different and characteristics too.
