Hogwash Bend

Has anybody stayed at Hogwash Bend on the Murray near Waikerie in the last 3 weeks. I drove up there a couple of weekends ago trying to check it out but the access road had a "Road Closed" road sign on it. Is it accessible with a caravan (not off-road), as I was hoping to stay there for a few days in a couple of weeks, but am reluctant to head down the road with the van, if it is inaccessible.

hi merv, i went to have a look at hogwash yesterday and the road closed sign is still up. cheers mark

Hi Merv,
We have camped at hogwash a couple of times in recent years. This campground is easily accessed with on road van. Although you will need to bring firewood with you as it is pretty much cleaned out. I am presuming the river is high and this may be the cause of the closed road.

Thanks for that, I am not sure whether I should just bite the bullet and give it a go, or wait a bit longer and try it another time. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.
