I know roughly when the
wildflowers appear down my way, but does anyone have any idea around what time they become visible up around the Central Wheatbelt area of WA. Heading that way end of the month(doctors willing "darned skin cancers" ) and main reason wife wanted to head out and about of course was to see the
wildflowers.....Be doing a bit of "bush camping" out of
Mukinbudin.......yes I am getting slowly more daring......hahahaha

Hi Kevmac,
From what I have been told the the
wildflowers have already started in the wheatbelt area.
Charles
Darwin Reserve, between
Wubin and
Paynes find is apparently very prolific right now, but
places like Coalseam Nature resrve, Morowa,
Canna and
Mingenew are also starting to bloom.
Have fun.

The best trick to find out where the wild flowers are is to ring a tourist centre, usually the local council, in the smaller towns and they will tell you exactly. It all varies depending on rain and sunshine and only the flowers seem to know when they are coming but the locals know when they are there.

Came back from
Leonora Area yesturday and the flowers are starting to come out.
They are starting to appear in the Kalgoorlie region too, so i doubt it will be long until they start appearing in your area :)
