Gidday all,

Anyone out there had any dealings with a portable DVD player/ screen combo made by Shinco.
They are 12volt/240 volt. 5 inch screen looks a bit like a small laptop.
Thinking about buying one, any comments

Mick

sounds like one i had very briefly also made by pro user?
if you want it for the car forget it they dont take to any bumps whatsoever.
you really need one with anti shock or a 30 second memory read ahead cache or such.
still having said that there are some great buys to be had at the moment.
E-bay have a few and have been brought by a few members with no complaints!1999 NISSAN NAVARA DUALCAB

Mick,

Shinco is one of the biggest "brand names" in China. They make quite good stuff and I think they are just getting into the international markets.

I believe they make a lot of the equipment for the Japanese brandes under OEM.

Think of them as LG 5 years ago.

Almost 100% of the DVD player / screens are made in China anyway, regardless of the brand. as an aside, I read 3 weeks ago that Sony is moving the last of it's TV production from Japan to China.

I think it would be fine. You will get a much better bang for buck than say Panasonic etc and they probably came of the same line.Boobook

The Voxson model works well & it's a 7 inch wide screen, $498 from DSE

www.dse.com.au

At least with DSE you know they will honor the warranty !
