As most Pop-Top's are a vinyl type material these days the top can be left up if desired.
They can also be left down so that the van can be stored in a carport or similar.
On the Regal I owned the top was up all the time except when traveling without any damage to the vinyl fabric.

I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Cheers Dodg.

Hi Dodger, Thanks for the info, I did mention in my first thread (which doesnt appear ) that my neighbour leaves his up all year (out in the open) and only closes it when rain appears.... thats why I was concerned... thinking nowI'll leave it up
as its under a large car port but will let down on wet days ...

We store our in the down position. But now & then I put it up on a nice sunny day or when there is a breeze blowing just to get rid of any moisture that might be on it.

I do this because I left it down for about 6 months or so last year & when getting the van ready for a trip I was horrified to see mildew on the outer surface. It came off easy enough but I would prefer it not to happen. Cheers.
