Gday,
Im looking at buying some marine charts to use in the boat.
Can anyone recomend any charts to use in Ozieplorer, where to get them and if there are any preveiws or samples available.
Cheers

The cheapest way is to download Navionics for iPhone or iPad, gives you charts for all of Australia for about $16.00.

Hi
For what area ?
Australian Hydrograhic Service Maps are
well and trully over priced for the average fisherman. If you are in WA these may be a more affordable option..
Western Australian digital nautical charts
If you do a lot of
offshore fishing you may be better off getting a dedicated gps with all of Aus loaded. I purchased a Oregon 400c a while ago with all of Aus marine charts (<$600). Not sure of current Garmin/Magellan options.
Cheers

OK - the WA digital ones only go from
Lancelin down.. so no joy there.
Plan "C" maybe to buy relevant paper map and scan/calibrate it yourself...or buy an iPhone as suggested:)
Cheers

Ha ha-digital charts are available for all of Australia not just
Lancelin south!
Depending on what you want to use them in, there is Navionics ($320), C-Map ($300), or as stated you can get a Ipad and for about $18 you can get digital layered charts for all of Aus.
Those prices are NOT including the plotter.

@ fisho64
Ha Ha - was referring to the
WA digital ones. Sorry if this was not clear. The other link I provided has marine maps for all of Australia, but at a significant price.
As indicated in initial post..Hairy (WA) wants to use then in Oziexplorer..options (re maps) are limited.
Cheers

Navionics is my favourite app, I use it on the Iphone and Ipad, Ipad = HD. The Android version is also brilliant. Great for sitting on the couch and planning routes before you head off and the maps are accurate.
