Wildflowers.

Thinking about a quick trip this week.Wondering if it may be a week or two early but if not what would be the best places to go.

Cheers Graeme.

Graeme W, we are looking at doing the trip up to Mullewa, across to Yalgoo, Mt Magnet and down through Paynes Find.
We had planned to do that last weekend, however I phoned the Mullewa Shire and they said that even though some of the flowers were out it is a bit early, it was recommended that we leave it for a couple of weeks when there will be a lot more with the warmer weather. We are now going weekend after next, weather permitting.
Apparently there are many wreath flowers out at the moment.
Hope that helps you. Have a good trip whenever you go.
Cheers

Just a footnote, Duncan W (WA) replied to a post I put up re the wildflowers last week, he stated that back in mid July they he back through the Murchison from the Pilbarra and the flowers were coming out then, also Hairy stated that they were already out at Northhampton.Check out thread No. 88510 some good info there.

Hi, We have just got back from being based at Carnamah and the wild flowers are full on, the wreath flowers are about a couple of weeks away, there is plenty of other types out their. Perenjori would be a better place to base, Camel Soak (Free Camp) is full of orchids at the base and everlastings are like carpets of yellow and pink. Coal Seam also full on. The community farm is worth a look at Coorow and off the beaten track is also great in most areas are great, some of the tracks are muddy and plenty of water around, but did not have to use 4x4 (only front hubs locked in just in case)

My wife just went up to Morawa this weekend just gone to take some photos and the wreath flowers are out now in all their glory.

Loads of other flowers out as well, wouldn't think they'd be out for too much longer though.
